Intellias is seeking a senior Scala backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable services for a Fortune 100 industrial client. You will build distributed systems, event-driven APIs, and data pipelines in cloud environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.

You will work with AWS, PostgreSQL, Docker, and modern FP libraries, own services end-to-end, and mentor peers while advancing architecture and production reliability.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of experience with Scala in backend services and distributed systems.
• 3+ years of experience with Java.
• 2+ years building distributed systems with Akka (Streams, Actors, HTTP, Persistence) or Apache Pekko.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS (Kinesis is a must).
• Strong experience with functional programming concepts and libraries such as Cats, Cats Effect, or ZIO.
• Hands-on experience with Docker.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and SQL query development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Experience designing and operating event-driven architectures and stream-processing systems.
• Experience with microservice architectures and Agile development environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and solution design.
• Strong ownership mindset to independently drive complex technical initiatives.

Intellias is partnering with a Fortune 100, Midwest-based industrial manufacturer to modernize and expand a suite of cloud-based services and data products used by a global network of dealers, enterprise customers, and internal business units. Our cross-functional teams deliver scalable APIs, event-driven services, and analytics pipelines that power quoting, ordering, asset telemetry, diagnostics, and lifecycle support for heavy equipment in the field.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience with Scala designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining backend services and distributed systems in production.
• 3+ years of experience with Java
• 2+ years of experience building distributed systems using Akka (Streams, Actors, HTTP, Persistence) or Apache Pekko.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS (Kinesis is a must)
