adaption in Portugal is seeking a research scientist to build models that continuously evolve with the world. Your focus will be on efficiency, gradient-free exploration, real-time learning, and interface design; this role blends deep research with product impact.

You will collaborate across software, hardware, and the ML stack to drive system-wide improvements and publish impactful results. Expect bold ideas, adaptability, and a strong emphasis on real-world relevance.

Competenze

• PhD or equivalent research experience in computer science.
• 4–5+ years of industry experience.
• Publication record at ICML, NeurIPS, ACL, ICLR, EMNLP.
• Deep expertise in model efficiency, real-time alignment or algorithmic optimization.
• Systems thinking across the full ML stack.
• Strong programming skills in Python. Experience with DL frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow).
• Knowledge of model optimization techniques (RLHF, finetuning).
• Experience in an industry lab with computing at scale.
