Turner & Townsend in Portugal is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical or Electrical) to join our Data Centre team in Lisbon. You will lead cost management, from feasibility to final accounts, liaising with clients and other stakeholders on large, complex projects.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, proven track record in cost management across full lifecycle, and experience with data centre assets, procurement, and multiple estimating tools.

Qualificações

• Bachelor-level degree or higher in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
• Experience leading cost management commissions for large, complex construction projects.
• Technical knowledge of data centre or related facility asset types.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and procurement across projects.
• Experience with multiple estimating tools and applications; strong spreadsheet and database skills.
• Collaborative, client-focused mindset; ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and manage priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the primary cost management liaison with client and project stakeholders.
• Perform pre- and post-contract duties including cost estimates, procurement, tendering and contract administration.
• Complete feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
• Estimate and cost plan, presenting final cost plans.
• Manage tendering activities, pre-qualification, tender lists, preliminaries and analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate cost checks and valuations.
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to client.
• Interface with client and other consultants at all project stages.
• Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
• Perform cost risk analysis and input into value engineering; negotiate final accounts.
• Maintain learning on cost estimating and contribute to best practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary cost management liaison with client and other project stakeholders
• Responsibility for pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
• Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
• Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
• Tendering and procurement activity, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report and compiling the contractual documents
• Taking responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
• Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
• Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
• Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts
• Maintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating from prospects and projects and contribute to updating of best practices in estimating

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• A proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveyingservices across the full project lifecycle
• Experience of leading cost management commissions for large construction projects of high complexity
• Technical knowledge of Data centreor other related facility asset types
• Good knowledge of all methods of construction and procurement
• Experienced with, or managing teamthat uses multiple estimating tools and applications
• Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases
• Collaborative approach, able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, internally and externally
• Good organization skills with the ability to multi-task
