Job summary

Genesis Digital Solutions in Lisbon seeks a QA Engineer to ensure the quality of web applications throughout the software development lifecycle, combining manual testing with test automation to deliver reliable digital products. You will contribute to QA practices and explore how AI can enhance testing.

You will define testing strategies, design tests, validate applications, manage plans, identify defects, and develop automated UI tests with Playwright, while supporting API testing and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 3+ years in Quality Engineering or QA.
• Strong grounding in testing fundamentals, levels, types, techniques, and defect lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define, plan, and execute testing strategies and test plans tailored to different projects.
• Design, document, and execute manual, functional, regression, and exploratory tests.
• Validate web applications from functional and technical standpoints through the SDLC.
• Manage test plans, suites, and executions with traceability to requirements.
• Identify, document, track, and follow up on defects until resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright or equivalent tools.
• Perform API and backend testing and broaden automated coverage.
• Support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Development, Product, and Application Support teams.
• Continuously improve QA processes, practices, and tools, including AI in testing.
