Alongside is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join a high-impact retail project. You will design and maintain scalable backend services in Python, building APIs with FastAPI, and collaborating with cloud infrastructure on Azure.

You will operate at Principal Engineer level, owning complex technical decisions, deploying AKS containers, IaC with Terraform, and shaping architecture. Excellent English and strong hands-on Azure skills are required.

Qualificações

• 12+ years of professional experience as a Python Engineer.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong experience developing APIs with FastAPI.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerisation, and modern software architecture.
• Ability to operate at Principal Engineer level, taking ownership of complex technical decisions and solutions.
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Good level of English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python.
• Build and maintain APIs using FastAPI.
• Take technical ownership of complex solutions, contributing to architectural and engineering decisions.
• Work closely with cloud infrastructure running on Microsoft Azure.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Contribute to the scalability, reliability, and performance of production systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Apply software engineering best practices and contribute to high technical standards across the project.
