Decskill, a Lisbon-based IT consultancy, seeks a Senior Python Developer for a challenging project in Lisbon. You will build high-performance data systems, pipelines, and storage solutions using Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and AWS.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in CS or Software Engineering, with 8+ years of Python backend experience and hands-on work with Docker/Podman, GitLab CI/CD, and pytest. English fluency is mandatory.

Qualificações

• Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of Python backend development.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, SQLAlchemy, and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Docker/Podman and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Proficient testing with pytest and Agile workflow.
• Fluent in English is mandatory.

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer for a challenging project in Lisbon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant data systems, pipelines, and storage solutions.
• Optimizing data processing and retrieval;
• Leveraging cloud-native services

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field;
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Python backend development;
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI for developing scalable web applications.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, SQLAlchemy, and relational databases.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency with Docker or Podman for containerization.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong testing practices with pytest.
• Familiarity with software design principles, performance optimization, and scalable architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile environment.
• Fluency in English (mandatory)
