Blip is seeking a Senior Product Owner for Platform development to empower developers with tools, systems, and workflows that accelerate innovation. You will translate platform strategy into actionable work for engineering teams and ensure scalability, security, and alignment with developer needs.

Based in Porto, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders globally, own the backlog, define user stories and acceptance criteria, and foster a culture of continuous delivery and knowledge

• Experience as Product Owner in developer platforms or internal tooling.
• Proven track record delivering complex products and features.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery with multiple engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience using data and metrics to inform decisions and track platform adoption.

The Role

As a Senior Product Owner on the Platform development team, you will empower developers with the tools, systems, and workflows that make innovation faster and more reliable. You’ll be a key member of the Platform team, partnering closely with the Senior Product Manager and Engineering Managers to translate platform strategy into actionable work for engineering teams. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role that bridges product intent and engineering execution — ensuring the internal platforms we build are scalable, secure, and deeply aligned with developer needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Be responsible for eliciting requirements in the form of user stories & acceptance criteria, prioritizing the product backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of features and components.
• Establish and maintain domain expertise on the product.
• Bring fresh ideas to the table when working to solve business problems, using commercial understanding to generate innovative solutions.
• Be an enabling force driving effective and sustainable change, guiding the business through the journey.
• Play a key role in self‑organizing agile delivery teams.
• Work within a collaborative environment, liaising with stakeholders across the global organization and the broader delivery team.
• Play a key role within the PO community, sharing industry best practices and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and cross‑skilling.

What You’ll Bring

• Experienced Product Owner, ideally with experience in Developer Platforms or Internal Tooling.
• Proven track record managing and delivering complex products and features.
• Deep understanding of agile delivery processes, with experience supporting multiple engineering teams.
• Depth of technical understanding within your area of expertise and the maturity to work independently, delivering effective updates and identifying barriers that would prevent completion of initiatives.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Experience using data and metrics to inform decisions and track platform adoption.
• Passion for improving developer experience, streamlining processes, and scaling systems that support innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a multi‑product environment.
• Knowledge of the sports betting business.
• Experience with integrating third‑party feed providers.
• Drive for results and an action‑oriented approach, pursuing work with energy and drive.
