Job summary

Cross Border Talents is hiring a senior product designer to shape large-scale mobile-first experiences, including chat, character creation, and AI video formats. You will join a small, fast-moving team with ownership from concept to shipped product, collaborating with the Design Lead, PMs and founders in a fully remote environment.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years, shipped mobile-first products, strong AI prototyping skills, and a track record of measurable impact; you will work autonomously on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of end-to-end consumer product design experience.
• Track record designing and shipping mobile-first products at scale.
• Proven product ownership, taking features from idea to launch.
• Strong strategic thinking with elite visual execution.
• Portfolio of polished, modern UI from real consumer products.
• Measurable product impact (growth, retention, engagement).
• Daily use of AI tools for design, prototyping or content generation, with clear tool/workflow explanations.
• Advanced Figma skills.
• Strong prototyping skills using design tools or code-based approaches.
• Ability to work autonomously and own product surfaces.
• Strong async communication in a fully remote team.
• Comfort designing on 18+ mature product experiences.
• Willingness to start on a B2B / contractor basis.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end product design across chat experiences, character creation, monetisation and growth flows
• Design emerging product surfaces, including live and interactive features and AI video experiences
• Take ideas from early concept to polished, shipped product
• Translate strategic product thinking into high-quality visual and interaction design
• Design mobile-first experiences for a large-scale consumer product
• Build polished interfaces, interactions and prototypes
• Work across the full design process, from discovery to execution and iteration
• Partner closely with the Design Lead, Product Managers and founders
• Operate autonomously and own entire product surfaces
• Contribute to an environment where new interaction models are developed frequently

About the role

We're building a large-scale, mobile-first consumer product at the frontier of AI: chat experiences, character creation, and live and interactive formats, including AI video. This is an 18+ mature consumer product, so you'll need to be comfortable designing for adult audiences and content.

You'll join a small, fast-moving team, working directly with the Design Lead, Product Managers and founders. The role carries high ownership: you'll shape new product surfaces from first concept to shipped experience.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

We're looking for genuinely senior product designers with strong shipped-product portfolios, 01 experience, AI and prototyping exposure, and measurable product impact.

Essential

• 5+ years of end-to-end consumer product design experience
• A track record of designing and shipping mobile-first products at scale
• Proven 01 experience, taking products or major features from idea to launch
• Strong strategic product thinking combined with elite visual execution
• A portfolio of polished, modern, high-quality UI from real consumer products
• Demonstrable, measurable product impact (growth, retention, conversion, engagement or similar)
• Daily use of AI tools for design, prototyping or content generation, and the ability to clearly explain which tools and workflows you use
• Advanced Figma skills
• Strong prototyping skills, using design tools and/or code-based approaches
• Experience working autonomously and owning product surfaces
• Strong async communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote team
• Comfort working on 18+ mature product experiences
• Willingness to start on a B2B / contractor basis

Nice to have

• Experience with dating, AI companionship, social or other mature consumer platforms
• Subscription, paywall or monetisation product experience
• Gamification experience
• Motion, 3D or illustration skills
• Front-end fluency in HTML, CSS or JavaScript
