Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Senior IT Platform Engineer to manage a Kafka-based event streaming platform on AWS. You will focus on daily ops, incident resolution, and platform reliability while collaborating with engineers and internal customers.

Responsibilities include runbook execution, automation of infrastructure with GitOps and IaC, and enhancing observability. Strong scripting and fault-tolerant design are essential in a hybrid IT environment in Porto.

Qualificações

• Experience with Apache Kafka and its ecosystem (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and fault tolerance.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration (EKS preferred).
• Experience with AWS cloud services (VPC, EKS, S3, IAM).
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Git, and IaC (Terraform, Helm).
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or Go) for automation.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, monitor, and maintain a Kafka-based messaging platform.
• Investigate incidents, analyze logs, and implement fixes for platform reliability.
• Runbooks execution and SOP adherence with continuous improvement.
• Provide internal user support and collaborate across engineering teams.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and platform automation efforts.
