SBM Offshore N.V. in Porto invites a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data platform capabilities within Microsoft Fabric, aligning with enterprise standards and governance.

You will lead data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and ADLS, develop PySpark and Python ETL workflows, and mentor junior engineers while promoting DevOps and observability.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering with Azure technologies and leadership.
• Experience designing and managing complex data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong SQL skills and data warehousing knowledge.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and ADLS.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for scalable data processing.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and participate in design, development, and deployment of scalable data engineering solutions across the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Design and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and ADLS / Onelake.
• Develop, test, and deploy SQL, PySpark and Python ETL/ELT workflows ensuring data quality and performance.
• Collaborate with data architects, scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to define data requirements and governance standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements across the data lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation and promote reusable frameworks and automation.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
