Job summary

Dstny is seeking a Senior Operations Security Engineer to unify security across cloud platforms, production infrastructure and customer products. You will own security controls, incident response, and vulnerability management while enabling rapid, secure delivery.

You will work with Azure/AWS environments, Kubernetes, containers and Linux, and apply IaC/CICD practices to embed security early in development. A pragmatic, risk-based approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, operations and incident response.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash or Go and experience with Terraform/IaC.
• Experience with SIEM, monitoring, observability and vulnerability management.
• Pragmatic, security-first mindset with ability to drive risk-based solutions.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Operations Security Engineer who combines strong hands‑on technical expertise with a practical approach to security.

You bring:

• Hands‑on experience in security engineering, security operations and incident response.


• Strong knowledge of Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, containers and Linux.


• Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash or Go.


• Experience with SIEM, security monitoring, observability and vulnerability management.


• A pragmatic approach to risk, with the ability to communicate clearly and drive solutions through to implementation.

What you’ll do

You’ll take ownership of security across our cloud platforms, production infrastructure and customer‑facing products.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Design and operate security controls across Azure/AWS and Kubernetes environments.


• Strengthen security across operating systems, containers, APIs, identity and access management.


• Lead the technical investigation and remediation of security incidents.


• Own the vulnerability management and remediation process, prioritising and driving fixes based on risk.


• Build and improve security monitoring, detection and alerting.


• Partner with Platform Engineering, Development and Architecture teams to embed security early in the design and development process.


• Protect our services against threats including telecom fraud and SIP abuse.


• Support security and compliance initiatives related to ISO 27001, NIS2 and GDPR.

Your scope

You’ll work within Operations and collaborate across Platform Engineering, Development, Architecture, Compliance and Data Protection.

You’ll operate in a multi‑tenant, carrier‑grade environment, covering both cloud‑native and legacy services, with responsibility for maintaining strong security across the platform.

Who you are

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in security engineering, security operations and incident response.


• Strong experience with Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, containers and Linux.


• Solid understanding of networking, vulnerability management and threat detection.


• Experience with SIEM, security monitoring and observability platforms.


• Hands‑on knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform, as well as CI/CD and Git.


• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash or Go.


• A practical, security‑first mindset, with the ability to assess risks and drive issues through to resolution.

Nice to have:

Experience in SaaS, UCaaS or telecommunications, and tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Wiz or Prisma Cloud.
