Job summary

act digital in Porto, Portugal is seeking an experienced Software Engineer specializing in C# and .NET to join our bancarisation product team. You will design, develop and test applications, implement microservices and RESTful APIs, and work with RabbitMQ, NUnit tests, and monitoring tools.

This role requires 5+ years of experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a hybrid work schedule with 2 days per week in the Porto office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET 6+, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with design patterns and best practices in software development.
• Experience with ASP.NET and MVC.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and RESTful architecture.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with RabbitMQ.
• NUnit experience for unit testing.
• IoC/DI and Unity DI knowledge.
• Experience with Sonar and Checkmarx for code quality and security.
• Experience with Kibana and Elasticsearch for monitoring and logs.

• Availability to work in a hybrid regime, 2 days per week from the Porto office.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software applications using C# and the .NET framework.
• Develop and maintain robust, scalable solutions for the LEA product within Bancarisation et Epargne platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and deliver new features.
• Design and implement solutions based on microservices, RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Implement asynchronous communication and messaging solutions using RabbitMQ.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application and integration layers.
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient and high-quality code.
• Apply software development best practices, design patterns and architectural principles.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to other team members.
• Develop and maintain unit tests using NUnit to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Contribute to application monitoring, logging and troubleshooting using Kibana and Elasticsearch.
• Ensure code quality and security standards through tools such as Sonar and Checkmarx.
• Collaborate with development and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor and coach junior developers, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development.
• Contribute to an Agile development environment, participating in the relevant ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
