Job summary

TransPerfect TechOps is seeking a Software Engineer to join a global team responsible for quality, development, and execution of software products. You will contribute to scalable backend systems, APIs, and integrations across web and mobile platforms from Lisbon, supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with product managers, QA, design, and other developers, while mentoring junior engineers and aligning with security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of software development experience building scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of DotNet C#, LINQ, MS SQL, and Entity Framework.
• Experience with Git version control and SOLID/clean code practices.
• Familiarity with RESTful services, API design, and Agile methods.
• Some Docker familiarity and cloud experience (Azure/AWS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of application development, with a focus on coding and debugging in alignment with security standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code/APIs to support web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate issues.
• Optimize web applications for performance, scalability and security.
• Develop automation tests and work with automation engineers to ensure coverage.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Document procedures and stay updated on emerging technologies.
