Job summary

Metica is hiring a senior mobile engineer to build and evolve the SDK shipped inside our customers' games. This is SDK work, not app work; you will own end-to-end, from API design through release and live integration support.

This role is based in-office with a hybrid model in London or Ljubljana, Slovenia. You will develop on Android or iOS, own the public API surface, ensure lightweight resilience, and manage releases to Maven Central, SwiftPM, and CocoaPods while collaborating with backend

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production mobile code at scale.
• Experience building an SDK or library consumed by other developers.
• Comfort debugging in code you do not own with crashes and ANRs.
• Experience making networking and local storage resilient.
• Test-first mindset and strong collaboration with backend teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our mobile SDK on Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift).
• Own the public API surface: minimal, stable across versions, and hard to misuse.
• Keep the SDK lightweight and resilient with no crashes in host apps.
• Own releases, versioning, and distribution (Maven Central, SwiftPM, CocoaPods).
• Support customer integrations and investigate live production issues.
• Work with backend and data teams to shape the client-server contract.
