Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club, part of DLC – Discovery Land Company, seeks a Senior MEP Engineer / MEP Lead to join its Development & Construction team in Comporta, Portugal.

You will act as the developer's representative for MEP matters, review designs, coordinate interfaces across disciplines, support procurement, and oversee testing and handover for luxury residential and hospitality projects.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related Engineering field.
• 8–12 years of experience in design and delivery of complex building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, BMS.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the Developer's representative for all MEP matters.
• Review designs for quality, compliance, constructability, maintainability, and operational suitability.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces with architecture, structures, civil works, interiors, landscape, and infrastructure.
• Support procurement activities, including tender reviews and contractor selection.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and contractor performance.
• Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Support cost control, value engineering, and change management.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Coordinate with operators and facilities management for operational readiness.
• Prepare progress, risk and decision reports.

Position Summary

To support the continued delivery of its growing portfolio of residential projects, CostaTerra is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Engineer / MEP Leadto join its Development & Construction team.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Developer's representative for all MEP matters.
• Review designs for quality, compliance, constructability, maintainability, and operational suitability.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces with architecture, structures, civil works, interiors, landscape, and infrastructure.
• Support procurement activities, including tender reviews, technical evaluations, and contractor selection.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and contractor performance.
• Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
• Support cost control, value engineering, variation assessments, and change management.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover activities.
• Coordinate with operators, facilities management teams, and stakeholders to ensure operational readiness.
• Prepare reports on progress, risks, technical issues, and key project decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related Engineering discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in design and delivery of complex building projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, BMS, and utility infrastructure systems.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
• Knowledge of design coordination, construction supervision, commissioning, and project delivery processes.
• Experience in hospitality, luxury residential, mixed-use, healthcare, or commercial developments is desirable.
• Experience working in a developer, PMC, consultancy, or contractor environment is advantageous.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
