Zühlke Engineering, Unipessoal Lda in Porto, Portugal, is seeking a senior mobile developer to lead the Flutter-based project for a client in the HVAC sector. You will shape architecture, implement low-level components, and collaborate with managers, developers and clients to deliver robust cross‑platform solutions.

The role emphasizes hands‑on Flutter development, strong OO design, and effective mentoring while offering flexible work options and growth within a global engineering company.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in application or embedded development and architecture.
• Strong OO design fundamentals and experience in at least one OO language (Dart, Kotlin, Swift, C++ or comparable).
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly, especially Flutter and device communication.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Take a leading role in shaping and development of a mobile application for our client.
• Provide technical leadership across projects—defining architecture and guiding implementation.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers and clients to shape technical direction.
• Develop Flutter applications for Windows, Android and iOS with focus on low-level implementations.

• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices; mentor team members.

How you will make impact

• Take a leading role in shaping and development of a mobile application for our client
• Provide technical leadership across projects—defining architecture, guiding implementation, and ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with both business goals and user needs
• Work closely with project managers, developers, and clients to shape technical direction and create robust solutions
• Develop Flutter applications for Windows, Android and iOS with focus on the low-level implementations
• Maintain Installer and low-level libraries for Windows
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions and implement robust, maintainable cross‑platform mobile applications
• Conduct code reviews, promote continuous improvement, and ensure coding best practices
• Mentor and support team members by sharing technical best practices and introducing emerging technologies
• Testing with mobile devices and client’s hardware in combination with BLE, NFC and cable communication

What is important to us

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field alternatively, work experience equivalent to that
• 5+ years of experience in application or embedded development and architecture
• Strong foundations in object‑oriented design and experience with at least one OO language (Dart, Kotlin, Swift, C++ or comparable)
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly, especially Flutter strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with device communication
• Experience with the Windows Ecosystem (Win32 API)
• Practical involvement in communication protocols
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• High level of self‑motivation and a proactive approach to managing work
• Strong personal commitment to delivering robust, high‑quality results
• Ability to balance technical expertise with business objectives
