act digital in Porto is seeking a Mid/Senior Java Engineer to design and build enterprise-grade applications, enhancing automation, security, and self-service across API platforms.

The position is hybrid and based in Porto, with 2–3 days per week at the office. You will lead the full lifecycle, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and collaborate across teams to improve development practices.

Qualificações

• Proven experience with Java backend for enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of Spring ecosystem and Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience building APIs and microservices, with SQL databases.
• Exposure to Linux/Unix environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Lead full application lifecycle: design, estimation, development, unit testing, release.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Understand end-to-end architecture including infra components.
• Maintain coding standards, perform reviews and enforce best practices.
• Contribute to and review technical design documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and support other engineers; report risks and mitigation.
• Contribute to innovation and improvements in development practices.
