Role:

Senior Java Developer -Spring Boot

Location:

Remote, Portugal

Required skills:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, and ORM tools like Hibernate
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Fluency in English and Portuguese

Tasks:

• Design and implement microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Lead backend architecture decisions and ensure adherence to coding and design best practices
• Collaborate with QA engineers and product managers to deliver complete solutions
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews
• Integrate third-party APIs and services
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
