Claranet is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join one of its clients in Lisbon. You will build backend services with Java 21 and modern Spring technologies, crafting scalable microservices and reactive applications in a banking-focused environment.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, hands-on Spring Boot/WebFlux/Pulsar, MongoDB, and strong collaboration with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. Hybrid Lisbon work arrangement applies.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development and application design experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and producing functional specifications and designs.
• Previous Banking industry experience is a plus.
• Strong Java 21 proficiency with Spring technology stack.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to design and architecture of applications.
• Develop and optimize backend applications using Java 21 and Spring.

• Implement observability using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Work with teams to deliver robust software for the banking sector.

Right now, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join one of Claranet's clients, based in Lisbon.

Your responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate functional requirements into technical solutions;
• Participate in the functional design and architecture of applications, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical best practices;
• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Java 21 and modern Spring technologies;
• Design and implement scalable microservices-based solutions;
• Develop reactive applications using Spring WebFlux and integrate messaging solutions with Spring Pulsar;
• Build and maintain data access layers using Spring Data MongoDB and MongoDB databases;
• Implement and monitor observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus;
• Collaborate with development teams in delivering high-quality, scalable, and resilient software solutions within the banking sector.

You must have:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development and application design;
• Experience gathering business requirements and producing functional specifications and application designs;
• Previous experience working in the Banking industry;
• Strong experience with Java 21;
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Spring Pulsar, Spring Data MongoDB, and Spring RestClient;
• Experience developing and maintaining Microservices architectures;
• Experience with MongoDB;
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools, namely OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders.
