Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer in Lisbon to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications. You will contribute to backend and frontend components, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes Java 11+ with Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, and Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, plus QA, code reviews, and performance optimization. Portuguese proficiency is required, and experience with regulated industries is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional Java software development experience.
• Hands-on with Java 11+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, Git, Maven, and JUnit.
• Solid experience developing modern web apps using React.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Proficient in Portuguese at C1 level or native.
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD is a plus.
• Experience with system integration and healthcare/regulatory contexts is a plus.
• Familiarity with Infarmed tech stack (EJB, PrimeFaces) is a plus.
• Experience in highly regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise apps using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop frontend solutions with React.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations.
• Work with Oracle databases using SQL/PLSQL.
• Create automated unit tests and support QA practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and analysts in Agile ceremonies.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices.
• Support deployment, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to modernization of the application landscape.
