Kake is a remote-first company and a people-first global community of senior engineers. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Node.js and React to build high-performance, scalable systems serving millions of users.

You will own features end-to-end across the stack, design APIs, and collaborate with product and design to ship reliable software. This role is fully remote with US timezone overlap and USD compensation, reflecting our global, fast-moving environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on Node.js and React.
• Hands-on experience designing and versioning REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with modern git workflows, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Strong system-design instincts: data modelling, component architecture, and event-driven thinking.

Responsabilidades

• Build and ship production features end-to-end across Node.js backends and React frontends, owning your work from implementation through deployment.
• Design, build, and version REST or GraphQL APIs that serve as the contract between frontend and backend systems.
• Make architecture decisions around data modelling, service boundaries, and component design, applying event-driven thinking where it fits.
• Model and query data across relational and NoSQL stores, choosing the right database and structure for each use case.
• Write clean, well-tested code and set up the observability needed to catch and debug issues in live systems.
