Position:

Senior Frontend Engineer (Angular)

Location:

Porto, Portugal (Hybrid | 2 days per week in the office)

Compensation:

• €[1800-2200] gross per month | 14 payments per year.

About this role:

Build scalable and maintainable enterprise frontend applications with modern Angular, focusing on user experience, frontend architecture, engineering quality, and end-to-end ownership of digital solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop and operate scalable frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript, taking end-to-end ownership from requirements and technical design through deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement;
• Build responsive user interfaces and micro frontend solutions integrated with backend services through REST APIs, ensuring usability, accessibility, performance, security and application quality;
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX Designers, Backend Engineers and business stakeholders while contributing to frontend architecture, engineering standards and technical decision-making;
• Apply automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD and continuous delivery practices, driving technical improvements, solving complex challenges and sharing knowledge across the engineering community.

Requirements:

Must-have:

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend software engineering, including enterprise applications developed with Angular;
• Strong expertise in modern Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, RxJS and reactive programming principles;
• Experience designing responsive, accessible and high-performing user interfaces and translating business and UX requirements into scalable frontend solutions;
• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with Web Components and micro frontend architectures;
• Hands-on experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing, including Cypress or similar frameworks;
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, SonarQube, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines, with strong ownership and problem-solving capabilities;
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with state management solutions, preferably NgRx Store;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud environments;
• Knowledge of jQuery for maintaining or modernizing legacy applications;
• Angular, Web Accessibility, Software Architecture or Microsoft Azure certifications.
