Job summary

Boston Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Director Enterprise Architect to pioneer the modernisation of our integration and GenAI architecture. You will define contracts, gateways and access models connecting applications, services and AI agents to our systems, and govern the GenAI platform that sits atop it.

You will lead architectural decisions in a global, matrixed organisation, with responsibility for scalable, secure, and governance-focused design.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience leading and owning the enterprise architecture of integration and/or AI platforms at global scale.
• Experience planning a global integration and GenAI estate across requirements, technology, cost, value and rationalisation leading and agreeing investment decisions at a portfolio and technology level.
• Leading the development of architectures across API and event-driven integration and enterprise GenAI, with hands-on experience in at least one API gateway platform (e.g. Kong, Apigee, MuleSoft) and foundation models.
• Leading decisions through to a conclusion in a highly matrixed organisation with minimal supervision.
• Preparing materials for, and presenting at, senior levels including C-Suite.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise architecture for the integration (contract) layer and the enterprise GenAI platform.
• Collaborate with the central Enterprise Architecture team and cross-functional partners.
• Define a shared, contract-first integration architecture and guardrails for safe AI operation at scale.
• Govern foundation models and agent-to-tool protocols in an enterprise setting.
• Mentor and influence solution architects and technical leaders across the organisation.
