Mace is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design function for a major hyperscale data centre programme in Portugal. The role is client-side, overseeing multiple design teams and interfacing with executive stakeholders from Lisbon, with site visits to the Alentejo Litoral region.

FIFO on rotation may be considered for the right candidate. Based predominantly in Lisbon, this full-time position requires a strong CSA/MEP background, chartered status, and fluency in English.

Qualificações

• 7+ years in design management or engineering/architectural delivery on major capital projects.
• Data centre experience, preferably hyperscale or AI-ready developments.
• Experience representing the client or developer at executive level.
• Strong CSA and MEP technical knowledge and interoperability across packages.
• Proven ability to lead large, multi-party design teams and report clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Represent the developer in design matters and own the design governance.
• Coordinate PMO, client and contractor design teams to align with objectives.
• Oversee design reviews, approvals, and change management with cost/quality focus.
• Ensure design outputs meet technical standards and programme requirements.
• Provide timely technical reporting to enable senior decision-making.
