Sovos is building a world‑class financial data platform and seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own the full pipeline stack, from ingestion to close‑ready outputs. You will design the Snowflake architecture and dbt models powering the U.S.

topline data chain and be the escalation point for issues before close. You’ll work with Analytics Engineers and finance stakeholders, extend models to cover OPEX/COGS, and produce production‑grade dbt documentation.

Qualificações

• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering with production pipelines and dbt at scale.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex queries.
• Production dbt: modular models, tests, documentation, and semantic metadata.
• Snowflake proficiency: roles, warehouses, governance, masking policies, and row‑level security.
• Experience supporting financial close cycles and on‑call ownership of pipeline failures.
• Fluency in the revenue data chain and ability to engage finance stakeholders on data discrepancies.
• Strong communication and documentation for finance analysts.
• Preferred: CRM/ERP integration, Python, Cloud infra (Azure/AWS), MCP, MLOps, domain knowledge in compliance/tax.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build the Snowflake schema and dbt model architecture for the U.S. topline data chain.
• Deliver ingestion and transformation models with tests and documentation across use cases.
• Own pipeline reliability through financial close; act as on‑call escalation point.
• Establish data quality standards, dbt testing conventions, and Snowflake governance patterns.
• Partner with Analytics Engineer on business‑layer model design for finance requirements.
• Extend dbt model layer to cover OPEX, COGS, commissions, ASC 340‑40 as scope grows.
• Write dbt YAML documentation as production deliverables (descriptions, columns, grains).
• Own row‑level security and model freshness SLAs for real‑time AI queries.
