The role requires hands-on experience with large-scale data processing, Python and PySpark, and a strong background in distributed computing. Fluency in English is essential, with hybrid work and international collaboration across Europe.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering with hands-on large-scale data processing.
• Excellent knowledge of Python and PySpark.
• Strong understanding of distributed computing and data architecture.
• Good knowledge of AI solutions and their practical applications.
• Experience with time-series data processing.
• Fluent English.

• Design, develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines, following modern data engineering practices.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join an international team working on advanced data intelligence solutions within the aviation industry.

The team is responsible for collecting, processing and enriching large volumes of airline operational data from multiple sources. The resulting data is transformed into valuable insights and delivered to various internal stakeholders through data products, reports and BI dashboards.

The role involves working with big data environments, processing billions of data records and developing scalable, high-performance data solutions.

Location: Lisbon

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines, following modern data engineering practices.
