Siemens Mobility seeks an experienced software engineer to design and maintain AWS-based web applications and microservices using C# and Golang. You will drive code quality, performance, and secure design while collaborating with customers and platform teams.

You will contribute to AI-native software engineering, database design, and scalable cloud solutions, with emphasis on RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and DevOps practices. Hybrid work model offered in Portugal and beyond.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of experience in industrial/commercial software development.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Experience with AI-native software engineering (LLM, RAG, prompts).
• Experience with designing/optimizing relational schemas (PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in C# and Golang.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud DB services (Amazon RDS).
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and procedures.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and DevOps (CI/CD, IaC, Docker, k8s).
• Strong Linux user skills; good teamwork and communication.
• Upper intermediate English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based web applications and microservices using C# and Golang.
• Ensure code quality, reusability, modularity, maintainability and security.
• Improve performance and scalability of software.
• Participate in requirements elicitation and customer communication.
• Improve development processes including refactoring.
• Conduct code reviews and clarify system/functional requirements.
• Communicate with end customers and platform architects within the company.

Your mission will be…

• Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based web applications and microservices using C# and Golang
• Ensuring code quality, reusability, modularity, maintainability and security
• Improving performance and scalability of developed software
• Participation in requirements elicitation, communication with end customers
• Improving development processes, including refactoring activities
• Conduction of code reviews
• Development and clarification of a system and functional requirements
• Communicate with the representatives of the end customers and with other platform architects developed by the company

• Experience in designing and optimizing database schemas to support application requirements
• Proficiency in the С# ecosystem. Solid experience with Golang
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and cloud database services such as Amazon RDS
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and procedures
• Experience with horizontal and vertical scaling technologies for data. Knowledge of methods to optimize database performance with large datasets.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra
• Experience with RESTful API, WebSockets
• Experience with spec-first code generation (openapi, protobuf)
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Knowledge of basic DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, IaC, Docker, k8s, monitoring & logging tools, automated testing and deployment strategies)
• Communication skills and readiness to work in a team as well as individually
