Siemens Global Business Services (GBS) in Portugal invites motivated STEM students for a 12-month paid internship in AI and data science. You will join our AI and data science projects, collaborating with expert teams to apply exploratory data analysis, visualization, ML modelling, evaluation and deployment.

A strong Python and SQL foundation, coursework in statistics or mathematics, and excellent English are required.

Qualificações

• Higher education in a STEM field with statistics or mathematics components.
• Academic experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred).
• Academic or project experience in data science and Python data frameworks.
• Very high command of English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate on AI and data science projects running at Siemens.
• Support exploratory data analysis, visualization, ML modelling, evaluation and deployment.
• Work with teams to learn and apply best practices in data science workflows.

Your mission will be…

• Collaborate in one of the many AI and data science projects running at Siemens.
• Support and learn from our teams in running tasks like exploratory data analysis, visualization, ML modelling, evaluation and deployment.

We are looking for someone with…

• Higher education in a STEM related field (at least 2 complete years) with major statistics or mathematics components. Computer Engineering highly preferred.
• Academic experience and proficiency with at least one programming language is mandatory, Python and SQL highly preferred.
• Academic experience or hobby projects employing Python and data science frameworks (e.g. scikit, pytorch, pandas, opencv, others) is highly preferred.
• Academic experience in data science is highly preferred.
• Very high command of English, written and spoken.
