Fundraise Up is seeking a Backend Engineer to drive the engine behind our global fundraising platform. You will design, build, and scale backend services in Node.js and TypeScript, handling high-load, distributed systems that process millions in donations.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of backend development experience in a product-driven environment.
• Strong experience with Node.js and modern frameworks (Koa/NestJS).
• Deep TypeScript expertise including advanced typing and modules.
• Solid MongoDB or other NoSQL experience.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Bull/Redis).
• Hands-on data/analytics tech (ClickHouse, Elasticsearch).
• Strong system design and performance optimization mindset.
• Ability to work independently and own projects, with clear communication.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Node.js/TypeScript.
• Develop new features from concept to deployment in collaboration with product and frontend teams.
• Own critical parts of the backend architecture to improve performance, reliability, and security.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain quality.
• Refactor legacy code and implement system improvements where needed.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to engineering excellence culture.
