Codurance is looking for a senior Backend Engineer in Portugal to design, build, and operate reliable backend systems for financial services. You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of services, with a focus on Node.js and AWS serverless architectures.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in distributed systems, CI/CD processes, and a commitment to engineering excellence. This full-time role includes a 12-month initial contract with possible extension.

Qualificações

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and serverless architectures.
• Strong experience building and operating scalable backend APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and system design expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain high-quality backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and operate AWS-based serverless systems focusing on scalability.
• Develop event-driven architectures and asynchronous workflows.
• Own services in production including monitoring and incident response.
• Collaborate with teams to translate business requirements into solutions.
