Senior Backend Developer (Java | ELK | GitLab CI/CD) – Lisbon | Hybrid

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join a highly skilled team working on a large-scale digital platform in downtown Lisbon.

This is a hybrid role (3x/week on-site), where you’ll work hands-on with Java, WildFly, ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), EJB, and Jakarta, contributing to backend architecture and DevOps processes. ElasticSearch is a core part of the product — not just for logs, but platform-wide search.

You’ll be expected to bring technical leadership, write robust and scalable code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement RESTful APIs for a large-scale platform
• Develop backend services using Java, WildFly, EJB, Jakarta
• Work with ElasticSearch as a core search engine
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure high-quality deployments
• Apply secure coding practices and contribute to performance optimization
• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprints
• Use tools like Docker, Redis, MongoDB, and Velocity in daily development

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of experience in backend development
