Job summary

Decskill is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer – Azure for a project with a remote working model. You will design and evolve infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt, automate provisioning with Ansible and scripting, and advance CI/CD pipelines in Azure and Kubernetes environments.

You will collaborate across stakeholders, promote DevOps and Cloud Native practices, and help optimise cloud costs while ensuring reliability and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong IaC experience with Terraform, including reusable modules.
• Experience designing reusable infrastructure with self-service.
• Knowledge of configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
• Strong GitLab and GitLab CI/CD experience.
• Professional experience with public cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes and containerisation.
• Familiarity with GitOps, preferably Argo CD.
• Automation using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Good understanding of DevOps, Cloud Native, and SRE principles.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
• Design, implement, and evolve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and tasks using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and scripting.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and self-service capabilities for developers.
• Improve infrastructure platform by reducing manual toil and technical debt.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and applications.
• Manage and evolve Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services for scalability, security and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to Kubernetes/AKS evolution within the platform.
• Promote Cloud Native, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure as Code and GitOps best practices.
• Support FinOps and cloud cost optimisation opportunities.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents; ensure root causes are addressed.
