Senior Associate Cloud / Web Operations Engineer
What You Will Do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. Play a vital role and be part of the web team, which provides end-to-end digital solutions and hosting for global websites enabling Amgen brands to engage with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and our patients. The team offers an innovative web technology platform hosted in the cloud and ensures compliances and security features across our websites. You will be part of Amgen's Global Commercial Client Facing Web Technology team.

  • Provide day‑to‑day support for web‑related activities, including managing website requests and collaborating with cross‑regional stakeholders.
  • Assist with web deployments, incident management, and release coordination to ensure smooth and timely support across various time zones.
  • Help develop cloud engineering capabilities.
  • Ensure cloud operations and services are cost efficient, secure, and performant.
  • Support daily run activities by processing tickets and handling requests related to web support and AWS/cloud services.
  • Able to manage various types of work assignments, which include ticket support work, small enhancements, and larger feature development.
  • Provide guidance and act as functional technical lead for the local team.

Basic Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information systems experience
  • OR
  • Associate's degree and 6 years of Information systems experience
Preferred Skills And Experience
  • 2+ years of Hands‑on experience with AWS infrastructure, including managing Route 53 DNS records, redirects, working with AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules, Content Distribution Networks (Amazon CloudFront), load balancers, and containerized applications with services such as AWS EKS, ECS, Fargate
  • Proven ability, skill, and experience with AWS cloud technologies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong trouble‑shooting abilities and able to work well under pressured scenarios
  • Able to balance operational support role with development responsibilities
  • Experience providing support for large‑scale web infrastructure
  • Experience using Jira and practical understanding of Agile/SAFe a plus
  • Experience in Python, .Net framework (Python preferred)
  • Hands on experience with Sitecore CMS in a plus
  • Hands‑on experience with Adobe Experience Manager Sites is a plus
Additional Requirements
  • Should be able to work overlapping hours with US based team (8 to 11 A.M. PST)
  • Able to work with offshore teams (Amgen India) and act as a liaison as needed
