KCS IT in Braga, Portugal is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our hybrid team. You will design and build scalable Android applications, primarily using Kotlin, while maintaining legacy Java code when needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on Android development, strong knowledge of Android SDK, REST APIs, Coroutines and Flow, and a commitment to code quality, performance, and maintainability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in Android development.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Kotlin as the primary development language.
• Working knowledge of Java, especially in maintaining or interacting with legacy codebases.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance Android applications.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, app lifecycle, and platform best practices.
• Experience with REST API integration and asynchronous programming (Coroutines, Flow).
• Strong focus on code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience with testing on Android (unit tests, UI tests).
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
