Job summary

Accenture Digital Core in Portugal seeks a senior Data Engineer to design, build and operate end-to-end data and ML pipelines in production environments. You will implement and debug pipelines on Azure (DataLake, Databricks) and contribute to CI/CD practices across distributed teams.

You'll work with Python, SQL and Spark, ensuring data quality, observability and scalable solutions while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to drive transformational outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in data/AI production environments.
• Experience with Python in production.
• Knowledge of PySpark/Spark and Azure Synapse/Data Lake/Databricks.
• CI/CD and DevOps tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate and troubleshoot end‑to‑end data and ML pipelines in production environments.
• Integrate and run ML/AI models with correct inputs/outputs and data changes.
• Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines using Spark/PySpark.
• Monitor systems with logs, metrics and alerts for operational stability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workloads on Azure.
• Collaborate with backend, platform and business teams in distributed environments.
• Develop production‑grade solutions using Python, SQL, JSON/YAML, Git.
• Implement and debug pipelines on Azure (DataLake, Databricks).
• Ensure observability through log and metric interpretation.

What You Bring

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical field;
• 7 to 10years of relevant work experience;
• Experience indata/AI production environments;
• Experience inincident/support environments;
• Experience with Python (production usage), SQL and SQL‑based database systems;
• Knowledge inPySpark/ Spark, Azure (Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks) as well as CI/CD and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, pipelines);
• Understanding of Monitoring tools (logs, alerts);
• Professional English (C1 Levelrequiredin spoken and written);
• French or Dutch is a plus;
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders;
• Strong collaboration skills within distributed and cross‑functional teams;
• Proactive mindset with a high sense of ownership and accountability;
• Structured approach to incident and problem management;
• Ability to prioritize workload efficiently in a dynamic environment.
