Vantage Towers in Lisbon is seeking a Data Pipeline Engineer to design, build and operate scalable data pipelines on a cloud-based platform, with a focus on GCP and BigQuery. You will collaborate with GCP Architects and analytics teams, implement ingestion patterns using Pub/Sub and Kafka, and deliver datasets ready for Power BI and AI use cases.

Hybrid work is offered with two days in the Lisbon office and three days remote, plus a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing professional

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field.
• Hands-on cloud-based data engineering experience in agile multinational environments.
• Required: Advanced SQL and programming (Python/Java), BigQuery-centric data engineering, cloud-native ETL/ELT orchestration and Pub/Sub.
• Nice to have: Kafka exposure and foundational AI literacy with GenAI use cases.
• Soft skills: communication, problem-solving, ownership, collaboration.
• Fluent English (C1) in writing and speaking.
• Location: Lisbon, Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Data Pipeline Engineering: design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable data pipelines on a cloud-based data platform, with emphasis on GCP patterns and cost efficiency.
• BigQuery Optimization: develop robust data solutions and reusable components around BigQuery as the core analytics platform.
• Ingestion & Messaging Integration: implement end-to-end data ingestion using Pub/Sub and Kafka-based concepts.
• Orchestration & Workflow Automation: create workflows for reliable data processing in cloud-native environments.
• Stakeholder & AI Enablement Collaboration: work with GCP architects, analytics, and AI teams to prepare fit-for-purpose datasets for Power BI and AI use cases.
• Quality Assurance & Governance: ensure quality, observability, testing, versioning, and documentation across the data landscape.
