Vestas in Porto, Portugal, is seeking an Aeroelastic Stability Specialist to lead stability analyses for next‑generation wind turbines. You will define, govern, and advance stability capabilities across the turbine lifecycle, driving methodologies, frameworks, and evidence packages used for design, service, and certification decisions.

Qualificações

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Computational, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in aeroelastic stability analysis of wind turbines.
• Experience defining stability criteria, margin methodologies, and evidence packages.
• Knowledge of certification processes and TRLs in deploying new technologies.
• Experience in studies and validation activities including OMA.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the technical authority for aeroelastic stability across products and development projects.
• Own Aeroelastic Stability as a governed service with criteria, model libraries, and evidence packages.
• Define stability standards and governance frameworks for consistent decision‑making.
• Lead validation and verification, correlating simulations with test and field data.
• Partner with blade design, system integration, service, certification, and modelling teams.
• Shape the stability roadmap and drive innovation for next‑gen turbine technologies.
