Job summary

Renvolt, a Voltalia Group subsidiary, seeks a Senior Accountant in Porto to produce accurate financial information for the standalone entity. You will handle month-end close, IFRS reporting via OneStream, VAT and tax returns, and ensure ledger integrity within the carve-out context.

You will report to the Finance Manager Portugal & Ireland and collaborate with other departments to ensure correct accounting and tax treatment of operations. The role requires strong Excel, ERP and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Portuguese GAAP (SNC) and IFRS reporting.
• Proven ability to manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of consolidation and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with Portuguese GAAP (SNC) and IFRS.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Control intercompany flows and perform monthly ICP validation and reconciliation.
• Process income statement and balance sheet in OneStream, including IFRS homogenisation journals.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding queries.
• Issue customer invoices and monitor customer accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset register.
• Support external audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Prepare and file VAT, CIT (IRC), WHT and other tax returns in compliance with Portuguese tax laws.
• Prepare and submit statistical reports (INE, Intrastat).
• Support the Finance Manager with transfer pricing documentation.

In the context of Renvolt\u2019s establishment as a standalone entity following the carve-out from Voltalia, the Senior Accountant ensures the production of accurate financial information for Renvolt Portuguese entity. This includes accounting entries, monthly/quarterly/annual closings, VAT and tax returns, IFRS reporting via OneStream, and maintaining general ledger integrity. Reports to the Finance Manager Portugal & Ireland.

The Senior Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with Portuguese GAAP (SNC) and IFRS.

• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

• Support the Finance Manager with transfer pricing documentation.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure correct accounting and tax treatment of operations.
• Support for account analysis “Goods receipt / Invoice receipt”.
• Act as support referent for IFS for the Portuguese accounting scope.
  Identify and communicate ERP system improvements, issues and accounting process enhancements.
• Build on existing processes and implement improvements in line with Renvolt group policies.
• Support the transition to standalone Finance processes in the context of the carve-out.
• May perform other administrative or operational tasks compatible with the role.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics
• At least 8 years of experience in Accounting & Corporate Finance
• Experience in Accounting, Tax compliance and Finance operations management
• Strongknowledge in advanced function for Excel, Power Point, Word, Power Query/database, Power BI and automated dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of ERP finance applications, local tax systems (PT: SNC, AT Portal / IE: ROS).
• Strong knowledge of consolidation and reporting tools (OneStream).
• Previous experience withIFS ERP and Microsoft F&O is a strong advantage.
