Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, excellent Excel skills, and strong communication. This is a full-time role based in Faro; salary is 1800 USD per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred).
• CPA certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct regular internal audits to identify potential errors or discrepancies.
• Provide financial analysis to support decision making by management.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Train and mentor junior team members.
