Client Server Limited in Lisbon is seeking a Security Engineer (SecOps Application / Cloud) to secure modern, web-scale products and protect customer data across the software development lifecycle. You will design production-grade security solutions, perform threat modelling, conduct architecture reviews and vulnerability assessments, and mentor engineers to embed secure development practices across teams.

The role offers hybrid working with occasional travel and the chance to shape security

Qualificações

• Strong security engineering experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go or Java for automating/integrating security tools.
• Experience in security within a DevOps environment.
• Experience in web application penetration testing and security tooling (e.g. Burp Proxy, Web/Network Scanners, SAST).
• Good knowledge of Cloud and containers technology (e.g. AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience performing security design reviews, threat modelling and risk assessments in distributed systems at scale.
• Professional security qualifications desirable (e.g. CISSP, Offensive Security, Sans Institute).
• Fluent English language skills.

Security Engineer (SecOps Application / Cloud) Lisbon to €95,000

Would you like to join a forward thinking financial services technology team building the bank of tomorrow, where you'll play a key role in securing modern, web-scale products and protecting customer data?

As a Security Engineer you'll work closely with Engineering, Infrastructure and other technology teams to improve the organisation's security posture, providing technical leadership and practical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll design production grade application security solutions, conduct architecture and design reviews and perform threat modelling to identify and mitigate risks early.

The role will also involve vulnerability assessments, security testing and regular code reviews, alongside reviewing data privacy and financial regulatory requirements. You'll act as a subject matter expert across application security and privacy, helping engineering teams understand security risks and build secure solutions by design.

A key part of the role is enabling others. You'll work directly with developers through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring and education, helping embed secure development practices across engineering. You'll also contribute to the wider security strategy, including evaluating and developing security tooling and identifying innovative approaches to address emerging threats.

Location:

You'll be based in the Lisbon office, with flexibility to work from home once a week.

About you:

• You have strong security engineering experience across the software development lifecycle
• You have strong coding skills with Python, Go or Java for automating/integrating security tools and creation of security tools
• You have experience of security in a DevOps environment
• You have experience in web application penetration testing and security tooling (e.g. Burp proxy, Web/Network Scanners, Static code analysers, etc).
• You have a good knowledge of Cloud and containers technology knowledge (e.g. AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker)
• You have experience of performing security design reviews, threat modelling and risk assessments and have a good knowledge of security in distributed systems at scale
• Ideally you will hold a professional security qualifications are desirable (e.g. CISSP, Offensive Security, Sans Institute, etc.)
• You're collaborative with fluent English language skills
