Vodafone in Portugal seeks a Secure by Design Consultant to bridge technical security with business needs, ensuring secure by design across global products, services, and infrastructure for enterprise, consumer, and internal usage.

The role requires 3–5 years in cyber security, cloud/web security expertise, and a strong DevSecOps mindset. Hybrid work model, diverse learning opportunities, and international mobility are offered.

Qualifications

• University degree in Information Security or equivalent.
• One or more of the following: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, GIAC, TOGAF, SABSA or equivalent.
• 3-5 years work experience in the field of cyber security.
• Professional experience in information technology and cyber security, plus experience with security in agile environments (DevSecOps).
• Good knowledge/experience with securing cloud environments, web services, CI/CD pipelines, container security, connectivity, user access management, networks, and basic penetration testing.
• Fluency in English.

Responsabilités

• Impact on the business – ensure all global products, services, and infrastructure are secure by design and risks mitigated to protect confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data.
• Provide advice and guidance to internal and external customers on security matters and ensure suppliers and third parties understand and comply with Vodafone’s security standards.
• Leadership and teamwork – collaborate with business and technology architecture, design and operations teams, and other security teams; manage external resources and coach Security Champions in agile teams.
• Innovation and change – promote security as a business differentiator by enabling secure by design across products and services; identify best practices to share with other APIs.
• Communication – clearly convey security requirements and risks to all levels of the business; explain complex technical matters to non-technical executives and provide guidance for implementing security controls in complex environments.
