CoLAB NET4CO2 in Porto seeks a Science and Funding Coordinator to join our Competitive Funding & Science Team, supporting R&D project applications and implementation, and promoting dissemination of results and the institution's activities.

The role requires a PhD and experience in proposal development, financial reporting and outreach, with strong English and teamwork. Salary ranges €1,700–€2,200 gross per month, plus benefits and 25 vacation days.

Qualificações

• PhD degree in the areas of Engineering, Science or related areas.
• Experience in R&D project and/or financial management or 5 years with MSc.
• Experience in proposal elaboration and submission for national/international funding.
• Experience in preparing financial and technical reports for R&D projects.
• Institutional communication and outreach activities.
• Knowledge of public research policies in national and international systems.
• Excellent communication skills with strong team spirit and collaboration.
• Very good English level.
• Valid working VISA to work in Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Manage R&D projects, including technical support for contracting, budget oversight, and funding agency communication.
• Prepare and submit applications for national and international funding programs.
• Identify and monitor competitive funding opportunities.
• Develop and implement institutional outreach and dissemination activities (conferences, workshops, visits).
• Manage institutional outreach (digital media, videos, presentations, media engagement, social media, visual identity).
• Dissemination of opportunities for PhD and MSc theses and support to students.

CoLAB NET4CO2 is a leading innovation organization seeking a Science and Funding Coordinator to join our Competitive Funding & Science Team, to support the application and implementation of R&D projects, as well as to promote the scientific dissemination and outreach of both the projects and the institution.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage R&D projects, including technical support for contracting, budget oversight, communication with funding agencies, implementation of nationally and internationally funded projects and supporting administrative activities.
• Preparation, writing and submission of applications for national and international research funding programs.
• Periodically identify and monitor competitive funding opportunities.
• Propose, develop and implement institutional outreach and dissemination activities, including conferences, workshops/courses, and institutional visits.
• Manage institutional outreach, such as digital media (website and LinkedIn updates), techno-scientific videos, institutional presentations, media engagement, social media management, and maintenance of the institution’s visual identity.
• Dissemination of opportunities for PhD and MSc thesis and support to students.

Required skills:

• PhD degree in the areas of Engineering, Science or related areas.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in R&D project and/or financial management, or 5 years of experience for candidates holding an MSc degree.
• Experience on proposal elaboration and submission for national/international funding/projects.
• Experience in preparing financial and technical reports related to R&D projects.
• Institutional communication and outreach activities.
• Knowledge of public research policies of the national and international scientific system.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong team spirit, fully open to collaborate with other teams (internal or external to the organisation).
• Foreign languages proficiency: very good English level.
• Valid working VISA to work in Portugal.
