Job description

SAP SuccessFactors Lead (In-house)

Porto, Portugal | Full-time

The role

SAP SuccessFactors is the company’s core HR system. It currently covers Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll and integrated time management in two European countries. The next step is to bring ownership of the platform in-house, keep developing it, and support the wider HR digital transformation.

The job is hands-on and mixes functional and technical work with full product ownership. You’ll be accountable for platform stability, improvements, integrations, service governance and future development. You’ll work closely with HR, Payroll, IT and external partners, and you’ll have real autonomy to shape the roadmap.

What you’ll be doing

Platform and service ownership

  • Own the SuccessFactors roadmap, backlog, service model and priorities, in line with HR strategy
  • Govern incidents, problems, changes, testing, releases and risks
  • Manage the adoption of SAP release cycles, including business validation and readiness
  • Keep documentation and system knowledge up to date and held in-house
  • Manage external support and consulting partners while building internal capability

Functional and technical lead

  • Lead hands-on across Employee Central, EC Payroll and time management processes
  • Review configuration and process design, and validate solutions before they go live
  • Make sure employee, payroll and time data is correct end to end, including EC to ECP replication
  • Oversee integrations between SuccessFactors, time management, payroll, finance and external services
  • Work through complex data and integration issues across APIs, SAP BTP, middleware, mappings and authorisations

Payroll and compliance

  • Act as the main system partner to HR for EC and payroll operations
  • Keep payroll accurate by making sure systems and integrations are ready for each run
  • Work with HR and Legal so the system meets statutory, audit and data-protection requirements
  • Assess how regulatory or business changes affect the system and coordinate the updates
  • Build internal capability through knowledge transfer, key-user training and documentation

Continuous improvement

  • Improve processes, configuration, integrations, data quality and user experience
  • Set and track service measures for payroll reliability, data quality and adoption
  • Support future country and process rollouts, including localisation

What they’re looking for

  • At least 5–6 years in HR or payroll systems, with at least 4 years on SAP SuccessFactors
  • Experience across the full SuccessFactors lifecycle: implementation, post-go-live support and ongoing improvement
  • Strong hands-on functional and technical experience with Employee Central and EC Payroll: configuration, master data, payroll controls, replication and troubleshooting
  • A solid understanding of SAP integration architecture (BTP, Integration Suite, SF APIs, ECP replication, file-based interfaces)
  • Experience with SuccessFactors time solutions, or with third-party time systems integrated with payroll
  • Experience supporting HR or payroll systems across several countries
  • Experience owning application roadmaps, releases and change governance
  • A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, HR, Economics or similar
  • Professional English
