FOX IT in Portugal is seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to strengthen our internal SAP Platform Basis team and help ensure stability, security and continuous improvement of our global SAP landscape.

You will operate and monitor SAP ECC 6.0, NetWeaver 7.0, S/4HANA 2025, perform system copies, transports, SSO, archiving, and cloud-enabled tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Fluent English is mandatory; up to 10% travel to Germany may be required.

Qualificações

• 6+ years SAP Basis experience in complex landscapes.
• Hands-on in system copies, transport management, performance monitoring, archiving, SSO (SAML 2.0, SPNEGO) and certificates.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High level of commitment, responsibility, self-motivation and organization.
• Ability to learn quickly and build expertise in new areas.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Willingness to travel to Germany up to 10% of the time.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and support installations, upgrades, patches, and release migrations.
• Execute homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies and landscape refreshes.
• Support IAM, user administration, roles, SSO integrations, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Manage SAP transport infrastructure and technical change implementation.
• Support enterprise archiving solutions.
• Monitor performance, capacity and platform health; resolve incidents per SLAs.
• Lead internal SAP Basis projects and coordinate with the hosting provider.

We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to strengthen our internal SAP Platform Basis team and help ensure the stability, security and continuous improvement of our global SAP landscape.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operations & reliability — Operate and monitor a complex global SAP landscape, ensuring high availability, performance and reliability across SAP ECC 6.0, NetWeaver 7.0, SAPS/4HANA 2025, BW/BI, SAP Datasphere, SAC, BTP, Cloud ALM, CPI and AS Java.
• Cloud operations — Administer SAP Private Cloud environments and support cloud transformation initiatives.
• Lifecycle management — Plan and support installations, upgrades, patches, support packages, kernel and SAP GUI updates, and release migrations.
• System copies — Execute homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies and landscape refreshes.
• Security & access — Support IAM, user administration, role and privileged-access concepts, SSO integrations (SAML 2.0 and SPNEGO), and digital certificate lifecycle management.
• Change & transport — Manage the SAP transport infrastructure and technical change implementation.
• Archiving — Support enterprise archiving solutions.
• Service management — Monitor performance, capacity and platform health; resolve incidentes and problems in line with agreed SLAs.
• Project delivery — Lead internal SAP Basis projects and coordinate delivery with the external hosting provider.

Candidate Profile:

• 6+ years of SAP Basis experience.
• Hands-on expertise in system copies and refreshes, transport management, performance monitoring and optimization, enterprise archiving, SSO (SAML 2.0 and SPNEGO), and digital certificates.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High level of commitment, responsibility, self-motivation and organization.
• Ability to learn quickly and build expertise in new areas.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Willingness to travel to Germany up to 10% of the time.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have):

• Proven experience managing complex SAP landscapes in international environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
