Job summary

Accenture Portugal is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer to join our SAP Technology team in Portugal. You will design, develop and maintain ABAP programs, enhancements and interfaces, with a focus on S/4HANA, modern ABAP RAP, and system integration across business domains.

You will collaborate with FI/CO, SD, MM and HR teams, translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions, and support upgrades, data migration, and performance improvements in complex landscapes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in SAP ABAP development and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules and core business processes.
• Fluency in English; valid work permit for Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain SAP ABAP programs and enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs for SAP solutions.
• Develop, test, debug, document and optimize ABAP reports, interfaces, BADIs and Exits.
• Build RESTful services and modern ABAP using RAP.
• Collaborate with FI/CO, SD, MM, HR teams to ensure integration.
• Support upgrades, data migration, performance tuning and system improvements.

We are looking for an SAP ABAP Developer to join our SAP Technology team in Portugal, working on complex SAP landscapes with a strong focus on modern ABAP development, S/4 HANA and system integration.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop and maintain SAP ABAP programs and custom enhancements, ensuring high‐quality and scalable solutions Translate business requirements into technical designs and end‐to‐end SAP solutions Develop, test, debug, document and optimize ABAP reports, interfaces, enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs and User Exits Build and evolve RESTful services and modern ABAP solutions using RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) Collaborate closely with functional teams (FI/CO, SD, MM, HR, etc.) to ensure seamless system integration Support SAP upgrades, data migration activities, performance tuning and continuous system improvements

What You’ll Bring Proven experience in SAP ABAP development and implementation Strong knowledge of SAP modules and core business processes Hands‐on experience with ABAP Objects, Reports, Enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs and User Exits Solid understanding of SAP workflows, debugging and performance optimization Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and cloud-based SAP solutions Familiarity with SAP integration tools (IDocs, RFC, BTP, etc.) Fluency in English, both written and spoken Legal: Must own a valid work permit or EU/Schengen Space Nationality to legally work in Portugal.
