Experis, a global leader in talent management solutions, is recruiting a Safety & Health Coordinator EMEA for direct integration into Continental Portugal.
In this role, you will play a key part in driving Safety & Health excellence across manufacturing and non-manufacturing locations throughout the EMEA region. Acting as the regional focal point for Safety & Health matters, you will support the implementation of global standards, strengthen governance processes, promote best practices, and foster a strong safety culture across multiple countries and functions.
Responsibilities
- Act as the central coordination point for Safety & Health topics across the EMEA region;
- Facilitate collaboration between locations, central functions, and Safety & Health subject matter experts;
- Organize and moderate regional Safety & Health meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing forums;
- Build and maintain a strong internal and external Safety & Health network;
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Group Safety & Health standards and procedures, driving consistency and best practices across sites;
- Conduct internal Safety & Health audits throughout the EMEA region and support locations in addressing audit findings and implementing corrective and preventive action plans;
- Contribute to assurance and compliance processes in line with ISO 45001 and applicable regulatory requirements;
- Monitor regional Safety & Health performance and support KPI improvement initiatives;
- Lead selected regional Safety & Health projects and initiatives, including investment planning related to regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and performance improvement;
- Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns, onboarding activities, and capability-building initiatives;
- Support incident investigations and the implementation of Lessons Learned;
- Participate in industry associations, working groups, and professional networks to stay up to date with emerging Safety & Health developments and regulatory changes.
Profile
- University degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a comparable field;
- 5+ years of professional experience in Occupational Safety & Health;
- Expert knowledge of occupational Safety & Health principles, regulations, and management systems;
- Solid experience with ISO 4501 and Safety & Health management systems;
- Auditor qualification (internal or external auditor) is highly desirable;
- Strong auditing and compliance management skills;
- Proven experience in project management and working in multidisciplinary teams;
- Experience leading international projects, virtual teams, or functional networks;
- Good understanding of industrial and manufacturing environments, ideally within the automotive industry;
- Excellent communication, moderation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, combined with a structured and analytical approach to problem solving;
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written);
- Willingness to travel worldwide.
Contract: Permanent, direct hire for Continental (no outsourcing)
