A leading research organization in Portugal is offering two Research Scholarships for students pursuing a Master’s in Psychology and/or Neuropsychology. The scholarships focus on quantitative research in cognitive interventions. Applications are now open for the award of two (2) Research Scholarships for students pursuing a Master\'s degree in Psychology and/or Neuropsychology. These scholarships are offered within the scope of the project titled “MI-RICORDO: Transcultural and Multidimensional Validation of the Digital Rehabilitation Intervention Oriented Towards the Cognitive Resources Domain” (THCS/0006/2023).

The project is funded exclusively through national resources provided by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), under the Transnational Joint Call of the European Partnership THCS: Health Care of the Future initiative, and is subject to the following terms and conditions:

Specific Admission Requirements

  1. Students pursuing a Master\'s degree in Psychology and/or Neuropsychology;
  2. Advanced knowledge and skills in quantitative research and data analysis;
  3. Experience in developing and implementing quantitative research protocols;
  4. Expertise in neuropsychology research, particularly in cognitive intervention;
  5. Proficiency in English (spoken and written);
  6. Strong teamwork abilities, including experience with international teams, and effective time management;
  7. Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in scientific writing.

Application Materials Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae, motivation letter, and any other relevant documents to the email address geral@mundis.pt, with the subject line "Application for Research Scholarship - MIRICORDO Project", no later than March 30, 2025.

Methods of selection

The selection process includes Curriculum Evaluation (AC) and an Interview (E). The top three candidates from the Curriculum Evaluation, scoring at least 3.5 (on a scale from 0 to 5), will be invited to the interview. The final score is calculated as CF = (AC × 0.7) + (E × 0.3) (70% AC, 30% E).

Selection Committee / Publication:

The final results will be published as a ranked list on the MUNDIS website (https://www.mundiseventos.pt/). The successful candidate will be notified via email. A reserve list may be created for the duration of the project or the scholarship, or for recruitment of additional scholars; the committee may decide not to award the scholarship if no candidate is suitable. If an unfavorable decision is made, candidates have 10 business days to respond during prior hearing.

Additional information

Scholarship conditions: The scholarship lasts 12 months starting in April 2025 and may be renewed up to a total of 30 months.

Application Deadline: The call is open from March 03, 2025, to March 31, 2025. Applications must include:

  1. Copy of academic degree certificates;
  2. A detailed Curriculum Vitae demonstrating compliance with the requirements.

Legal framework: Law No. 40/2004 (Scientific Research Fellowship Statute); FCT regulations; applicable amendments. The monthly maintenance grant amount is €990.98, paid by the 23rd of each month.

Exclusivity: The scholarship functions are carried out on an exclusive basis as per the applicable statutes.

Termination: Scholarship ends upon contract completion or renewal terms; other causes as per regulations.
