Job summary

Diaverum in Odivelas, PT, is seeking a dedicated nurse to deliver dialysis nursing care across the clinic's settings, applying evidence-based practice and timely documenting interventions.

You will promote patient autonomy, collaborate with families, and participate in quality initiatives while developing professionally through initial and ongoing dialysis training. Proficiency in Portuguese and English is required along with a valid nursing licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing and a valid professional licence.
• With or without experience in dialysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Knowledge of quality systems.
• Personal competencies: Initiative, Critical thinking, Decision-making, Communication, Conflict management, Teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care across the different clinical settings of the clinic.
• Intervene based on the best scientific evidence, ensuring the implementation of quality standards.
• Document nursing interventions in a timely manner.
• Promote patient autonomy, empowerment of the patient and their family, and adherence to treatment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Participate in and promote initiatives aimed at coordinating different levels of healthcare.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes within the scope of professional practice.
• Record incidents.
• Promote and participate in national and international research programmes and projects.
• Support the training and development of other professionals’ competencies.
• Participate in the management and organisation of the nursing team’s work.
• Resolve clinical and organisational issues.
