Job summary

CloserHire is hiring a Ukrainian-speaking Interpreter for a fully remote role based in Portugal. You will translate between Ukrainian and English, preserving accuracy, tone, and context across insurance, legal, and medical content.

EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit is required to work remotely from Portugal. Ideal candidates hold Ukrainian language proficiency, C1 English, and a High School Diploma.

Qualifications

• Ukrainian language proficiency required (oral and written).
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher is mandatory.
• Experience in translation/interpretation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Translate between Ukrainian and English accurately, preserving meaning, tone and style.
• Ensure correct grammar and syntax in both languages.
• Provide precise renditions of messages, including every detail of the conversation.
• Follow customer instructions, manage call flow, and avoid dominating conversations.
• Understand industry-specific terminology for insurance, legal, and medicine.
