AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Kafka) to own and operate the Kafka estate behind an event-driven integration platform. You will design topics, manage partitions, retention, and replication, while ensuring resilience and replayability.

Strong Linux and Python scripting, CI/CD, Docker/Podman, and IaC skills are essential. English communication is required. The role involves building delivery guarantees, observability, and a robust build/release pipeline, plus capacity

Qualificações

• 4+ years of hands-on production Kafka experience.
• Strong Linux and Python scripting skills.
• CI/CD ownership and automation experience.
• Docker or Podman and container orchestration.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Strong English communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Own the Kafka estate design, tuning, and upgrades.
• Ensure platform resilience and reliability during upstream outages.
• Implement at-least-once and exactly-once delivery semantics and related tooling.
• Build streaming observability: lag, throughput, dashboards, and alerting.
• Plan capacity, cost, and retention for durable logs and audits.
• Automate environment provisioning and configuration as a single source of truth.
• Collaborate with Python developers on deployability, performance, and cost.
